Kratos is a video game character from Santa Monica Studio's God of War series, which was based on Greek mythology, before transitioning to Norse mytho...logy. Also known as the Ghost of Sparta, he first appeared in the video game God Of War which led to the development of eight games starring the character. Kratos also appears as a protagonist in comic book series published in 2010 and 2018, as well as the three-novel franchise that retells the events of three of the games. The character was voiced by Terrence C. Carson from 2005 to 2013, with Christopher Judge taking over the role in the 2018 sequel, titled God of War.
