I am not the original creator of this awesome chess set. I altered the originals so they have solid/flat bottoms, rather than being hollow. There are ...pros and cons to each of course, but I would recommend the solid pieces so they have more heft. You can still do a honeycomb fill on the inside of course, so you save on plastic.

Unless re-sized, the bottom of the pieces have a 1.5 inch diameter. I mention this so you know how big the squares need to be for your chess board. Al...so, be sure to buy some felt with a sticky backing to complete the pieces. I cut out 2-inch squares with scissors, stuck the squares to the pieces, and then cut off the edges using micro-cutters.
