This is a modified version of the Turbine Blower for 540-sized Motors
by JolietDelta. This is the original design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing...:667480
This is a 70% scaled model with modified back-plate for 540 motor and a modified housing for faster printing.
Note: New holes need to be drilled to mount the motor on the back plate (I forgot to modify their placement), and you need to put small washers between the motor and the back-plate in order for the shaft to sit far enough back that the rotor fits in the housing. If you don't use washers the motor will not sit at the right angle and the rotor blades will scrape on the housing.
I recently uploaded two more designs that I did to go with this turbo to use it for laptop cooling.
Turbo Adapter: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2532256
Drill two new holes to mount the motor and use washers to get the optimal distance. Make sure the rotor doesn't scrape on the housing, if it does you need to adjust the placement of the motor.
How I Designed This
All I did was remove the mounting shroud for the motor, chop the inlet and outlet ports, and scale everything down to 70%.
