Leopard 2A5
The Leopard 2 is a main battle tank developed in Germany in the early 1970s by Krauss-Maffei-Wegmann. It first entered service in 1979,5... replacing the Leopard 1 in its role as the main battle tank in the German Army. After successive updates and improvements, its most modern version is the A7+ and it is at the level of the best and most advanced armored fighting vehicles in the world. In total, more than 3,480 Leopard 2s have been manufactured. They are currently used by Germany and their different versions are in service in twelve other European countries and in several countries outside Europe. It saw combat for the first time in Kosovo with the German Army, in addition to being used in Afghanistan with the Danish and Canadian ISAF, and by the Turkish Army in the Syrian Civil War.
