A dodecahedron lampshade with a star pattern.
Inside is the holiday spirit, and fills the room with a myriad dazzling stars!
Stars of various size...s and orientations are randomly scattered on a pentagon, making countless combinations. Create a unique pattern each time you put together this lampshade - everything needed can be printed: no glue, no emptying out the screw drawer.
There are two versions of the dodecahedron side: one with star-shaped holes all the way through the pentagon, and another where the holes stop halfway through.
Use a LED tealight or another small LED light like an IKEA Ledberg.

You will need the following:
- side_v1.stl or side_v2.stl: 11x
- base.stl: 1x
- connector.stl: 20x
- screw.stl: 60x
- light_holder.stl: 1x...
The star pattern of side_v2.stl starts at 1 mm; it should be printed in a white or translucent material up to that height. Use your favourite festive filament for the rest.
The connectors and screws print at 0.15 mm layer height, the rest at 0.2 mm. If you have trouble getting the small perimeters of side_v1.stl to stick to the print bed, try lowering print speed and acceleration for the first layer.
To assemble the lampshade, line up a pentagon with a connector and secure it with a screw. Each connector connects three pentagons. The smaller pentagon side must be facing towards the connector.
