These files should print fine without any fancy settings. BUT..If you want to duplicate my results then please read the printer settings notes below.

I like how they look if you pause the print and change the filament so the bell part of the jelly is a different color. I just have a single extruder, so I have to pause and change the filament if I want to use another color.

I am exploring deliberately making drooloops, (I made that word up, droop+loop) and trying to harness the neat shapes you can get.

Please let me know how your prints turn out and post pics. I love seeing other's experiments and results. Printer settings can change the effect so have fun with this planned chaos!

ANY PRINTER and SLICER SHOULD WORK FINE. THESE NOTES ARE OPTIONAL you can just download and print. Don't be sacred off by all these details, I usually end up over documenting. __IMPORTANT NOTE - Printing drooloops you must print without support!__ I use CURA for slicing because it is opensource, feature rich, and gives me a lot of control when I want it. You can use what ever you are comfortable with. If you want to duplicate my results here are some tips, feel free to pick and choose these are __only recommendations__ and document of how I went about printing these drooloop models. 1. Layer height of 0.2mm. I like the drooloops to be thick enough to droop nice, going thinner on layer height will give you frail and wispy drooloops which might be exactly the look you want. Experiment and share your results, it's fun. 2. A word on Nozzle size. These files were made for a 0.4mm nozzle size. If you have a larger nozzle and the slicer is ignoring the drooloops, you may need to scale up the model or make a custom file using the customizer linked in the summary above. If you have a smaller nozzle the slicer might try to generate infill on the drooloop. 3. Temperature. I like to print my drooloops a bit hotter that normal so they droop nicely. 4. Part-cooling-fan control! When printing the long drooloops I turned off the fan using "tweak at Z" plugin in CURA. This just gave me a more symmetrical look. You can get a very neat effect by leaving the fans on...planned chaos knows no failures! I left the fan on for the small drooloops on the pawn, and king...but turned them on of the rook for some reason. You can also manually hack the gcode (it is easier that it sounds), I have a video tutorial here in case you want to do that: http://youtu.be/hYmclbTH7nw __(optional) GORY DETAILS ON MY TWEAK AT Z SETTINGS, including pause for color changes and fan control__ You can use these settings as a guide with what ever slicer you are using. I am sharing the Z height in mm and what print setting I changed at that height.
