3d model description

*Please remember this is not the final product.

Designed this working model of a Hub and brake assembly. The model is made to fit around a 608z ska...teboard ball bearing.

This is still a work in progress and will need finer adjustments if needed.

Made for a project and to be used for educational purposes.

UPDATE 9/2/17:
I have reuploaded all the model .stl files to scale (so no need to change the scale like the older .stl files) and I also changed the orientation to how I have printed it.

Air fittings

To get pressure to build up under the piston to move within the brake assembly I used a small plastic hose fitting that can be seen in some photos and the same one on an old water bottle and used super glue to hold them in place. These fitting can be found in your auto parts store - The fittings used are the same as the windshield washer hose fittings and i used a small hose that was a tight fit so there were no air leaks.
Piston

In order to get the piston to move without any air leaking I used some double sided foam tape which is about 1mm thick and 10mm wide. This tape can be found at your auto parts store. If you can't find it here is a link to a similar one I found online: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Double-Sided-Tape-Adhesive-Auto-Truck-Car-Acrylic-Foam-Attachment-2-CM-x-8-M-/261633362303?hash=item3cea90497f:g:qMIAAOSw-nZTom~2 I applied the tape on the inside of the Brake caliper where the piston sits. Make sure there are no gaps from where the tape starts and ends. Then slide the Piston inside (Should be a snug fit) and test it out with some air pressure before you carry out your full assembly. IMPORTANT: Do NOT take the layer off to expose the other side of the sticky foam tape. The smooth layer of the foam take allows the piston to slide freely with the air pressure.
